Obsessing Over Moroccanoil's Body and Sun Collection

Did you know Moroccanoil has a Body and Sun Collection line…As someone obsessed with their hair care products…I was super excited to try them out!

My favorite thing in this collection has got to be the Body Buff…not only is it in the most beautiful jar ever, which you will want to just keep on display...it is fabulous.  It has the same scent they are known for in their hair care line. It is a revitalizing body scrub, made with exfoliating sand, apricot, and olive seed powders, that gently polish away dead skin cells. This scrub is paraben-free, and has a blend of shea and cocoa butter.  Not like your typical body scrub, you can actually feel the cocoa butter softening your skin as you use it.  I love using this weekly, before I put on my self tanner. This is my favorite, most luxurious product, in my shower, maybe ever. This is the gift you give your best friend, sister, etc…pure perfection!! I absolutely can not say enough about this lovely and delicious jar.

Going into their Sun Collection…my favorite is the Face Lotion SPF 30!  I have sensitive skin, so a lot of sunblocks don’t work so well for me…but this one is great, and it doesn’t leave that white residue, or irritate my skin in anyway.  It also doesn’t ball up/flake off, like some do once you put your makeup on.   I also love the size of the bottle, because it can fit right in my handbag, which is so convenient.  It has a light sunblock scent to it, which I personally love, but not as strong as others I’ve used. It’s actually pretty amazing how it goes on, and it feels wonderful on my sensitive skin…where have you been hiding!  It’s advised to apply 15 minutes prior to sun exposure, and every 2 hours thereafter.  I also love the design of the bottle, it has a pointed tip, so a ton of product isn’t plopping out, all at once…so lovely!  This is my favorite! I also use this on my décolletage and chest.  That area has the worst sun damage, because it was forgotten so much in my youth, and I think people in general just forget to treat it, like they do their face. Love this product!!

My second favorite is the AFTER-SUN MILK! I own nothing like this, and it makes me look forward to the aftermath of a day in the sun with my babies.  Exactly as it sounds…it’s this light milky spray, that you smooth over your body, concentrating on your dry areas.  It’s supposed to enhance and extend your sun-kissed glow.  It definitely enhances my glow, but hopefully it hasn’t been sun-kissed, as I do not do sun.  I’m a full on self tanner only, type of girl!  The scent of all the sun collection products are different from their haircare line, but not like a typical sunscreen either. This product is fragranced with a Monoi scent, and hydrates and nourishes the skin with natural cooling aloe. This is a lovely addition to their line!

Now let’s talk Sun Lotions…AHHH these bottles are so beautiful and lovely...I just want to use them all for myself, and it makes putting on sunscreen so much more luxurious!  I’m a 50 SPF girl all the way, and my husband is a 15 SPF guy.  In this case, this is perfect…we each get our own bottle. 
The Sun Lotion SPF 50 has the same delicate Monoi fragrance. It is smooth and lightweight, and rich in argan oil and Vitamin E, which also hydrates and nourishes the skin.  Broad spectrum, and water resistant for 40 minutes, it helps protect from UVA/UVB rays.  I love using this daily on my arms, as the hot Arizona sun always seems to get me, even just getting in and out of the car etc.  I’ll use it on my thighs as well, if I’m wearing shorts or a shorter dress.  It is amazing how strong our sun is here, and with our crazy high temperatures.  Some days your skin sizzles, just walking outside…yuck.  I love this even more because it doesn’t have the typical sunscreen scent, it’s almost like you are putting on a beautifully scented lotion.  Plus, I find myself using it more than I do regular sunblock, just because it’s pretty and fun to use…it’s like you are treating yourself in some way.  Shake well and apply 15 min prior, and reapply every 2 hours, 40 minutes, if in the water.

The Sun Oil SPF 15 is perfect for my husband…As this is exactly the SPF he likes and he loves it in this oil form.  It has the same beautiful scent as the rest of the collection.  This sunscreen is actually water resistant for up to 80 minutes.  It also hydrates and nourishes the skin with antioxidant-rich argan oil and vitamin E, while protecting from UVA/UVB rays.  You want to apply this 15 minutes prior to sun exposure, and every 2 hours, or 80 minutes, if in the water.  This is the perfect product for him…Yay, I get the 50 SPF to myself.

I mean seriously, how can I ever go back to regular old sunblock afterwards.  The two biggest differences I notice are…
1) The smoothness and ease in which the product goes on…and the fact that I don’t have all this white residue, and a thick sunblock feel all over.  It is actually quite a lovely feeling on my skin.
2) The scent and design are so beautiful.  The line just smells more luxurious, and the design of the bottle makes it feel more special when you get to use it.  You know what I mean, that feeling, when you use the yummiest products you own, you just feel spoiled and divine. That’s what I’m talking about…but for sunblock...ha!  I’m not someone who remembers to put it on every day, until I started testing this out…it makes you want to use it on the daily, because it so pretty and smells so good!

I use this every time I wash my hair.  After my leave in conditioner, it’s the first product I put on my hair…obsessed…love this smell, love how it treats and lightly coats my hair, giving me much needed shine.  I feel like it’s doing all sorts of yummy things, and is actually supposed to speed up drying time as well.  It is one of my favorite products, and has been for years!  I am beyond obsessed with the scent of this product!  I actually love so many of their hair products, especially their deep conditioning masks, and their repair shampoo and conditioner.

This Sun Collection is such a great addition to their hair care line.  We have a pool at our home, and my little Hartley, in the photos with me here, loves to go swimming, like every little kid. We are outside a few times a week like this, poolside…Sunblock is definitely a way of life for us here in the desert.  I absolutely do not want an ounce more sun damage, and if you are going to be outside for any length of time, you need to be protected.  I’m pretty much obsessing over this new line…and am such a fan of theirs in general.  Thanks for keeping my skin protected, and smelling beautifully, because avoiding our pool is not an option these days…this is our multiple times a week, family activity!
