NEW SERIES: Try on Clothing Session at My Two Favorites, Express Clothing and Nordstrom
I'm starting a new series on the blog...It's hard trying to differentiate yourself as a blogger these days...So I wanted to bring a little something different here, and I'm trying to think of the fastest way to show you the latest and greatest styles I'm crushing over, and upcoming/current trends. Otherwise I'm so particular that a post can take me up to 4 days, between selecting, editing photos, writing my caption, and linking everything for you guys! Crazy right! I swear I'm the slowest blogger...I mean if you saw how many posts I have written but haven't finalized...I'm talking from when I was pregnant. (!!) This week, I shopped my two favorite stores...Express and Nordstrom, and this is not sponsored in any way. It's no secret how much I love these two companies. I've worn and loved Express for over 20 years, which is crazy! It's the only company I've been able to stay loyal to through the ever changing times of fashion etc. I love shopping here, because the designs are so on trend, the fit is fantastic, and the quality great...and with all of that...their price points completely suits my budget. I hate to say it, but I don't always get a lot of use out of my clothing, and tend to wear things once or twice, but many pieces I will wear more often. I do always try and sell my old clothing on my Ebay store, Liveloveblank, or there a few consignment stores in the area. I think it's important to try and generate more income back from these purchases, instead of just tossing or donating. Don't get me wrong, I donate a lot of things too...I just really respect the value of a dollar, and I know how hard my husband and I work, so I want to respect it and make extra efforts when I can. It's all a balance, yes I'll spend thousands on a handbag, but then will hustle, listing items and generating sales...hey if I can make $30-$40 back on a dress, you betcha, I'll cut back on sleep and hustle. However, I don't mind investing, in denim, outerwear, sweaters, and accessories such as shoes, handbags, and jewelry, because those tend to get used week after week, or daily. A lot of basic tees and easy to wear tops will get a lot of use as well, and sometimes, I can recycle a dress for years, because the fit is just so great! I love dresses, and love heading into fall, where I can restyle a lot of them for more use.
***Also, Express always has a coupon somewhere...either via retail me not, through the mailer, or your email.. If you haven't already, you'll want to sign up with them. I Never shop here without a coupon. They didn't have any sales today, but on a two tops that were buy 1, get one 1/2 off, but I had my little mailer coupon....Girls save your money, don't forget it! I absolutely love that they are so giving in this way...it really helps, when you love to shop!***
***Side note...as I'm writing this...they just started their buy one get one half off of all of women's...figures...uggh! (well at least I saved a little with coupons) ***
I also buy probably 80% of my wardrobe from Nordstrom online. Until the last two weeks, these past 2 1/2 years I've been 100% stay at home momma, and would never leave home to go shopping, especially with the babies...so difficult! I absolutely love supporting Nordstrom! It is so easy to buy online, and ship back what you don't want. I have a credit card with them, and get free shipping to and from, and build rewards to use back for purchases. I'm all about the rewards, doesn't it give you such a rush...ha! But they have the best customer service, their brands and styles are just pure perfection, and everything is about quality, style, and convenience with them, plus they carry so many categories from makeup to clothing, to shoes, to kids-wear! Did you know you can now buy online, and then do a curbside pickup, outside their store...never having to get out of your car! How absolutely fabulous is that...They are the absolute best, and since having babies my love and devotion to them, and online shopping have skyrocketed...like I said 80% crazy. You just always know you are going to get something great with them, and it's so comfortable for me to shop online, at say 1 am, order a few sizes, if I'm unsure of which size, and pay. Then once it arrives, I try it on when I can, pack up what I don't want, and the hubby drops it off at USPS on his way to work...easy! There is a comfort level with them that is hard to explain.
Okay so let's talk clothing....whoohoo! So many goodies...especially at Express, they are on fire right now. I just ordered a ton of things from Nordy's online, hence why I didn't try on as many items.
Also for reference... I'm 5' 5 1/4" and not going to mention my weight...because I'm still trying to lose all my baby weight...from both my girls

This sweater is amazing!!! Oh my gosh, not too heavy and this color is one of my favs.. The bottom picture are the bralettes I just bought to go under these...This look is so fun for fall...instead of a boring bra strap or tank, get one of these beauties and add some fun lace trim.. I tried a ton on and these were my two favs

This dress is so adorable....Love plaid! I'll wear this with booties, and knee high boots, You could wear with a fun vest, or tie a thin jacket around your waist.

I just ordered something very similar so I didn't buy this but loved it, and will just see how the other thing turns out first, but now still major crushing over this... love this with booties and a cute fall hat!

shut the front door, shut the back door...love this vest...It also comes in Ivory...but I loved it more in Olive...and its slimming... I have broad shoulders, so I can't pull off a lot of sweaters and ponchos etc very easily. but this is amazing..I have a few ways I'd style this

This dress is my fav of the day and just under $100. At first it didn't seem to fit, but you have to completely put in on, and button it at the neckline, plus, it has a nice open back, the fabric is incredible, and the dress is so well made/cut, fits amazing and is slimming...love her...can't wait to wear her!!

Love love love this print...This is the size medium, which was way to tight..the underneath part..I had ordered this in a large already...I might just use a different slip, and wear as a tunic...this print is gorge...this pic is doing any justice...and super well priced

Okay I love everything about this dress, the print, color, the way its cut, super slimming, the bustline, however, post babies, I'm super conscious about showing the girls, and obviously you can't wear a bra like I am here (I was too lazy to take it off)...aww but this dress is lovely, and someone needs to get her and rock it, because perfection
