One of My Favorite Resorts in Scottsdale, Arizona, Staycation at The Scott Resort and Spa

One of the things I love most about Arizona, are our beautiful spas and resorts, and we've been meaning to start enjoying them more. One of my favorite Boutique Resorts is The Scott Resort and Spa, here in Scottsdale. However, those of you reading, who are parents, and especially to toddlers and babies, can relate...it's just hard to get things checked off the to-do list in general, much less book little vacays for yourselves.
Trust me thou…these little moments, even if its one night, are soooo necessary for reawakening your spirit, and reconnecting with your love. It was so amazing to just be us again, and not have to cater to anyone else but each other...bringing that sexy, playful us back....ya know!
Ironically, I’ve spent only one other night away from my Hartley, and it was to this same resort, a year and a half ago...(you can read that post HERE...and I was almost 9 months preggo with Baby Gray :) This weekend was my first time leaving Grayson...so basically, I'm on this pathetic, every 1.5 years...have a night off routine...ha…gotta work on that! I’m sure a lot of my momma followers are in the same boat!
Sharing our getaway with you below…obviously I’m a fashion blogger, so I change for everything...but I included a few other pics I shot for work, because the space was so amazing, and wanted you to see.
The Hotel/Remodel
Okay this remodel....I mean!! Hello! The Scott underwent a massive remodel and lets just say...this is somewhere I want to be every week!! As a former interior designer...I was obsessed with all the changes, and literally every nook was perfection! I might have mentioned 20 times how obsessed I was with new interiors, and that I want to be friends with whomever did this...ha…want to be my friend? It is very Cuban Inspired, and while I haven’t traveled there to compare, I definitely felt like I was on vacay outside of AZ for sure. Every last detail...down to the fabulous wallpaper in the bathroom was like...yes honey!!...Amazing!!! My hubby and I are definitely popping in for drinks and bites post departure, now for sure...(actually we already have since) I find the new space super uplifting and intriguing.
You have to stay here if you are planning a trip to Arizona any time soon, or for all my local gals…I know they sometimes have special staycation packages!! For sure…you’ll love staying here, and find yourself just wanting to hang out in all the main areas. Plus, every person working here is ridiculously kind, fun, and helpful…such good vibes all around…you will not be disappointed.

We checked into our room….Which I can tell the bathroom had been remodeled and the lighting changed throughout etc, and a few of the furniture pieces were new and chic and of course loved the new bar cart. I also love their charming patios off each room. The trees are majestic here, so unlike the desert landscape you typically see, so it’s nice to have all this lush greenery and beautiful trees right outside your room. We changed and went for cocktails at the Cubana Lounge...You must get the Cubano Viejo...it was so delish! Obsessed with their gorgeous new bar design and inventive drink menu…you definitely need to grab a cocktail here, and they have a full coffee bar as well. Cheers My Love!!

Poolside
Next we head to the pool...it was a weekend and super busy both days, so I didn't take pics. There are two main pools…the one you kind of see behind me below and there is a smaller one to the right, with a sand bar. Poolside, we ordered the Ceviche and Crispy Fish Tacos, and they were fabulous!! A total foodie...I loved the food pre-remodel, and now it is just as perfect! It was crazy hot, maybe 112...and we were outside (shade for me of course), but they had these huge fans to help cool everyone off. It was super hot, but just so nice to be kid free, just us, with a cocktail and bites...that it didn’t really matter.
Just so OBSESSED WITH THIS SPACE!!! Had to show you this cute area off the bar…we had to come back inside to cool off.

Nightlife
They had a lovely Summer Nights, Tiki Party, poolside this evening! They served fun cocktails and chicken with chimichurri…so tasty. They also had a DJ playing beautifully themed music, and fire dancers as it got dark. I'm obsessed with fire dancers, I think it is such a beautiful art, and she was super talented!! This night definitely set the tone for a staycay getaway…so relaxing and magical! Plus, it was such a gorgeous night too…breezy and a tad cooler. They are actually extending the Tiny Umbrellas Tiki Party throughout the end of the year, so if you are local, you should check it out! You can buy tickets for just the event, without staying the night as well. Here is a link to their website.

Besides a bunch of selfies and videos, our only pic pic together…:) When your hubby shoots your photos, he is rarely in them…but Such a great vacay!
CUBANA BAR
Post party, we were a little hungry and instead of going to old town, we just thought we chill on the cozy couches in the Cubana Bar, and grab some bites at the bar. Basically I just wanted another ceviche…which was just so incredible…super flavorful, but light. We also got the Cobb salad…best ever!. We had so much fun, just us being together, eating, having cocktails, without the stress of kids with us, and just having a nice romantic evening together. Life is just Fun Together!
Loved this outdoor space right off the Cubana Bar. There was a black and white movie playing post our dinner, and it was so charming with the fire pits etc!
BRUNCH
This kid-free morning was my favorite part of the trip! Mornings are a little hectic for us at this stage with the girls…and not how I most like to start my day, so my favorite part of the staycay...was simply walking to get coffee first thing am, and brunch. While I got ready, Jordan went to their gym, (which he said was great) and then we went to breakfast just us! Kind of amazing, just going to breakfast, sans kids, for one day (I swear it’s the little things)!
The restaurant is so super cute and amazing..they have an outdoor section as well, which is gorgeous when the weather is cooler. Brunch...American favorites with a Cuban twist! Of course I ordered 3 things for 2 of us. I'm always going to be that person who over orders, to try all the best dishes...luckily my husband is the same. No but seriously...life is too short..order the dishes honey!!
We will definitely be back for brunch...I’ve been obsessed with Chilaquiles since our trip to Tulum, so we ordered that, the Avocado Toast, and Caribbean Benedict. I also had their Mexican Coffee and it was so delicious with the cinnamon. I think the Chilaquiles have to be my favorite, but I would have to order all three again…Loved!
We shot a little for my blog post brunch..as you know, my husband, so kindly helps me with all my photos. I know its not his favorite thing to do, but I love that we get to spend more time together, and laugh doing it! I don’t know, almost 2 years in, and I still think it’s random and hilarious taking photos.
Brunch….the sweetest space! Obsessed with this wallpaper as well, and this adorable seating. Who else thinks brunch is the best meal of the day!

Afterwards, we checked out and spent the rest of the afternoon poolside....just enjoying our last hours of freedom. Then returning home, we were so refreshed and ready for the chaos (and that is exactly why you need to do this for yourselves...to all my parents reading this). When they greeted us, it was their normal run over kiss kiss, hug hug. None of the crazy tears and sadness that you dread they might be feeling. They were loved, happy, and well cared for...and just happy to see us! All was Okay and life progressed as normal! So grateful we took this time for us!
So guys, take a trip, just you two, whether it’s a night, weekend, or week getaway. I swear it will do wonders for your soul, and will continue building on the foundation of your marriage. Plus, it just leaves you with a new zest for life, making you a better mother as well.
