Updating my bedroom has been on my to do list for quite some time. My nightstands and lamps just arrived, and I swapped out the silver and grey accents in my bedding for a more natural and warm brown (I haven’t completely finished my bedding yet)
One of my favorite updates is my art from Minted, known for not only their customizable art, but personalized gifts, stationary, and cards. What I love about ordering from their site is that the art is so customizable. First, you’ll select from a variety of sizes, and sometimes even a variety of color palettes of the art itself. Next, is the option of your piece being a framed art on canvas (frame choice is yours) or an art print. If choosing the art print you’ll also be able to choose from high quality wood or metal frames options. You can then customize further with museum-grade matting, a white border, floating frame, or full bleeding of art. I love these options so much, because you can completely change the feel of each piece depending on what you choose complimenting a variety of home decor. It’s incredible!
I tend to need a few sets of art, so below I’m sharing other options for art you can purchase in sets, or flip and hang opposite to create a unique flow. In the first collage you can see the difference between a matted and full bleed art print…and how different the pieces can thus feel. Imagine how creative you can get…
The artwork I chose for our bedroom has a nice modern yet transitional feeling to them. My house is very transitional, and I love the challenge of layering in multiple styles…plus it’s impossible for me to fully commit to one style as I love so much! I did however go back and forth between the gilded wood, the black frame, and the natural wood. I ended up popping the art with the gilded frame, so it helps tie in the space to the rest of my home, considering the new bedroom furniture is more warm and muted. Honestly, any of the three would have been fabulous….however, I own a few large scale black framed pieces from them, so I was looking for something different.
My prints are sold individually but are gorgeous as a set. They are 30 x 40 with a matted 4-ply museum-grade mat board in 100% cotton, with the gilded wood frame.
